The Big Bangs
Loudoun County is celebrating the birthday of the United States big time, with something planned for two days and, if it rains, three days straight, beginning July 3. From east to west, north to south, there is everything from parades large and small to live music to barbecue to clogging to fireworks. Take your pick from the list. Take your time. Schedule:
•10:30 a.m. -- Parade; bikes, wagons and strollers welcome; one mile starting at Fincastle Field to Ringold Drive to lake path to pavilion.
•11 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Party with inflatables, food, swimming, games.
•7:15 p.m. -- Suburban Rush Band begins playing.
•8:15 p.m. -- Fireworks, then more music from Suburban Rush Band.
•Dark -- "Low-flying” fireworks show from island in Ashburn Lake.

Activities: Children's activities, lemonade, bake sale coordinated by the Round Hill Junior Women's Group, and acoustic guitar favorites by Barry Charlton. There will be a collection of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items for Loudoun Interfaith Relief and for a new food bank in town.
South Riding
