Briar Woods hosts Tag Day
The Briar Woods High School Music Boosters Association will be conducting its fourth annual Tag Day Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Students will be visiting the neighborhood to share their music programs and invite residents to see them perform this academic year.

Charity golf tournament
The Loudoun County chapter of Beat the Odds will host its fourth annual Charity Golf Tournament at South Riding Golf Club on Sept. 12.
The event will raise funds for Beat the Odds scholarships to benefit at-risk youth.
The shotgun start for this captain’s choice tournament will be at 1:30 p.m. Registration is open to the public.
Individual registration is $100 per player and team registration is $375 per foursome. Corporate sponsorships for the events are available at a variety of levels.
Beat the Odds is a nationally recognized project that awards scholarship money to deserving at-risk youth who show the ability to overcome significant life obstacles by rising above such issues as poverty, abuse, family breakup or substance abuse.
Loudoun County’s chapter was initiated four years ago by several members of the Loudoun County Bar Association and other county agencies, and is assisted by the Loudoun Bar Foundation.
LEAP agenda
The Loudoun Education Alliance of Parents has announced its agenda for this year.
LEAP meets every second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Loudoun County Public Schools administration building, 12000 Education Court in Ashburn. The public is welcome.
