Broad Run 27, Dominion 6

The Spartans outscored the Titans 16-0 in the fourth quarter to hold off Dominion's upset bid Saturday afternoon in Ashburn.

Chris Jessop and Kenny McAdow each scored on one-yard runs for Broad Run, and T.J. Peeler returned an interception for a touchdown late in the game. Graham Allen also converted a pair of field goal attempts in the win.

Breon Earl rushed for 126 yards on 14 carries as the Spartans improved to 3-0 in the Dulles District and 6-0 overall.

Deandre Reaves' 10-yard touchdown run produced the lone score for Dominion (1-2, 1-5). Reaves finished with 89 yards on 24 carries.  


Briar Woods 17, Loudoun County 14

The play of the Falcons' special teams proved to be the difference in Leesburg. Briar Woods scored on a blocked punt and David Clements drilled a 33-yard field goal in the road win.

After the teams traded touchdowns earlier in the second quarter, Jake Ashton blocked a Raider punt and J.T. Bailey recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown late in the first half to give the Falcons a 14-7 lead at halftime.

Clements' field goal midway through the third quarter extended the lead to 17-7. County pulled within three late in the third quarter when Joe Bushrod connected with Michael Ayoub on a 46-yard touchdown pass, but the Raiders were held scoreless in the final quarter.

Briar Woods (2-1 in the Dulles, 5-1 overall) rushed for 206 yards in the game. Ray Taliaferro led the way with 135 yards on 20 carries. Bailey scored the Falcons' lone offensive touchdown on a two-yard run.

Loudoun County (1-2, 3-3) were led offensively by Andrew Walczak's 102 rushing yards. Bushrod rushed 10 times for 54 yards and a touchdown.


Heritage 64, Freedom 21

The Pride snapped a two-game losing streak in a big way. Ross Madison ran for 139 yards and five touchdowns to spark a Heritage ground attack that totaled 357 yards and seven trips to the end zone.

Zach Gordon added 105 rushing yards and a touchdown. TJ McPhaul returned a kickoff for a touchdown and Russell East took an intereception to the house for the Pride (1-2, 4-2). Aaron Summers also produced a rushing touchdown in the win.

Luke Braatan ran for a score and also connected with Michael Marceron on a TD pass for the Eagles (0-3, 1-5). Marcus Clinton returned a kickoff 95 yards to round out Freedom's scoring.
