Tourism Web videos premiere at Tally Ho

Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association is hosting a free premiere event at the Tally Ho Theatre in downtown Leesburg on May 21 at 5:30 p.m. to launch a new tourism multimedia program.

The event will showcase a new series of 36 short videos that highlight some of Loudoun County’s attractions, including wineries, heritage sites, restaurants, historic towns and villages, and events.

“They give us the opportunity to target a younger demographic, including Generations X and Y, by providing them content in a method they prefer, namely downloadable videos,” said Cheryl Kilday, LCVA president and chief executive officer. “Targeting these segments will allow us to grow our visitor base and economic impact.”

The new multimedia program is part of the Tourism Destination Strategy supported by the Board of Supervisors. Under the leadership of the LCVA, tourism industry partners collaborated to develop the videos, which are mini-documentaries in style and were designed to entice younger visitors to Loudoun County.

The event is free, but those attending should contact Stacey Sexton at the LCVA office by calling 703-771-2170 or e-mailing sexton@VisitLoudoun.org by May 19.
