Camp dates are Aug. 19-21 and Aug. 26-27, 9 a.m.-noon. Contact Barbara Verdile, director of music, for details at musicd@stpetes.net or at the church office, 540-338-7307. St. Peter's is located at 37018 Glendale St. (and Route 690 off of business Route 7/Main Street) in Purcellville. For more information and directions, visit the church Web site: www.stpetes.net.

Purcellville Preservation: Have a little time and a keen interest in preserving the history of our Purcellville area? The next meeting is on Tuesday Sept. 9, at 5 p.m. at the Carver Center. There's quite a bit cooking these days. Preservation and education programs should be on the agenda for our town. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Meredith at 540-338-3828.

Family Movie Night: There is a Summer Family Movie Night Aug. 15, 8:15-9:15 p.m., at Fireman's Field.

Army band: Join your neighbors Aug. 17, when the Army band Downrange will be entertaining you and your family, 7-8 p.m. For more information on these and other Town of Purcellville happenings, call 540-751-2333.

Huge yard sale: Check out the something-for-everyone yard sale at the Carver Center, Aug. 9, 9-3 p.m. Admission is free. If you need more info, call 571-258-3400.

Carver Center agenda: If you are 55 or older and want to keep active and vibrant, check out the Carver Center open house, Aug. 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission to the open house is free. If you decide to take part in some or all of the activities, there is a simple $20 annual fee to join, plus a $2 drop-in charge. This will keep you active and in touch with your community. Activities are varied and you're bound to find one that interests you. For more information, contact the Carver Center 571-258-3400.
