Full-Time Position
About the Position: The responsibilities of this position are to develop and maintain client and corporate relationships, develop and implement effective marketing plans specifically targeted to assigned territory and client type, and work with clients in determining and fulfilling their advertising needs.
Qualifications: Candidate must be a motivated self-starter who is very customer-service oriented, have the ability to deal effectively with all types of personalities, be computer/internet literate, and have excellent negotiation and listening skills.
Classified Telesales Advertising Consultant
Reston, VA
Part-Time Position
About the Position: Primary responsibilities are to contact potential advertisers by placing outbound calls, as well as handling a variety of inbound calls to sell and service advertising customers. Responsibilities include selling the full line of Times Community News products.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be an experienced, aggressive sales professional who can work with minimal supervision to achieve results. Candidate must have general knowledge of computers, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, have organizational/time management skills, and have strong customer service skills.
Special Classified Advertising Consultant

About the Position: Responsibilities include selling private party and Business & Services classified advertising, as well as making obituary calls and other miscellaneous functions as assigned, while providing excellent customer service. Must be able to work with multiple computer software packages and work in a team environment while achieving departmental revenue and productivity goals.
Qualifications: Direct sales experience is not required, but a good attitude and solid work ethic is absolutely required.

About the Position: Responsibilities include layout and design of all Times Community News classified sections using SCS's ClassPag software. Individual will also be responsible for the pagination and design of editorial pages when needed.
Qualifications: Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple deadlines with ease. Experience with SCS's ClassPag or any classified layout system is preferred. QuarkXpress experience is required. SCS training will be provided.
