Remember Seedling Pickup and Farm Bureau Directory

Loudouners who ordered trees in the Loudoun Soil and Water Conservation District's annual tree seedling sale are reminded to come pick up their "bundles of joy" this Friday, April 4th, from 10am to 6pm at the District's office at 30 Catoctin Circle SE in Leesburg.  Don't worry about bringing the full size pickup, the seedlings are small and will fit in the back of the average SUV or station wagon with no problem.  If you did not preorder trees, there may be a few extras so come early for the best selection.

In other agriculture news, Farm Bureau members should watch their mailbox for the 2008 copy of the Loudoun County Farm Bureau Directory which should be mailed later this week.  The directory includes listings of the Bureau's membership benefits as well as members' businesses and services.  Farm Bureau's efforts to "Save Virginia's Farms and Secure our Food Supply" starts right here in Loudoun, so remember to patronize our local producers!
