President Kennedy's Final Birthday Wine
Vintage 1955 Dom Perignon. The President celebrated with wife, Jacqueline Kennedy and the Kennedy Family.
1955 was among the best vintages for Dom Perignon after WWII. Other superb vintages are: 1959, 1961, 1964, 1966, 1982, 1985, 1988, and 1990. However, James Bond snubs the 1955 vintage in Dr No. Using a bottle as a weapon in Dr. No (1962), 007 pauses when the villain points out: "It's a Dom Perignon '55. It would be a pity to break it." Bond snaps back, "I prefer the '53 myself," and gives him a good thump on the head.
Care to purchase a bottle? $1,766 and it's yours...
Cheers,
VV
