Steele wins 300th

Congratulations are in order to Broad Run High School softball coach Ed Steele.

The Spartans, the defending Virginia Group AA champions, earned Steele his 300th career coaching victory with a 6-0 win over Potomac Falls on Tuesday night.

Ed Steele has positively affected the lives of many, many individuals in his time coaching and teaching at Broad Run. Times-Mirror sports reporter Jason S. Rufner wrote a feature story on coach Steele prior to the spring season getting underway.

Also, Loudoun Valley softball coach Joe Spicer surpassed 250 career victories this season. Spicer could reach the magical 300-win plateau in the next couple of seasons.
