Heritage does its part, now seeks help
The Heritage Pride closed out the football regular season with a convincing 42-6 victory over Leesburg rival Loudoun County Nov. 9.
The win pushed the Pride’s record to 7-3 this season. Now, according to most reports floating around the net, Heritage needs some help to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in school history.
It all comes down to the Brentsville at Handley game. If Brentsville wins, Heritage gets in as the fourth and final seed in the Region II, Division 4 playoffs. If Handley wins, James Wood will secure the final playoff berth.
The pivotal game is being played Saturday at 1 p.m. in Winchester. For those interested in coming out, Handley High School is a beautiful place to watch a game and is only about 45 minutes west of Leesburg.
There is a good chance you'll see some Pride coaches and players on hand as very interested observers.
