The Gauntlet at Back to School Nights

Have you attended your child's back-to-school night yet? Many candidates and their friends are meeting and greeting families at the back-to-school night events. There is even a group supporting the bond referendum for the new library in the Dulles district.  The candidates must stay 40 feet from the entrances and not interfere with families coming to meet their new teachers (Just like election day!).  With over 20 elected postions on the ballot, it may seem like a gauntlet for parents, but if they don't want the flyers, rulers, or other hand-outs just say no.  Candidates are not allowed to 'politic' in the building. School Board members may make a short presentations urging parents to support the School Bond Referendum.  The election is on Tuesday, November 6th... 53 days from Friday, September 14th.
