Loudoun Awakening Brings
10 Days of Fasting and Prayer
Prayer America's Strength and Shield
By Reverend Brian K. Wells
Pastor of Family Worship Center in Sterling, VA.
(Leesburg, VA- April 14, 2008) Loudoun Awakening 2008 is an unprecedented opportunity for citizens of Loudoun County to band together in a non-partisan, non-political, trans-denominational expression of love through prayer and unity around the National Day of Prayer and the Global Day of Prayer. All Loudouners are encouraged to become involved in this moving expression of warmth, caring, and faith.
Would God ever visit Loudoun County? If He did visit, how would we know he’s here, or had been here? God is alive and well, and interested in everything that happens in our land. From the days of old, until now, God’s desire to be with us has never changed.
The Pastors and Churches of Loudoun County are praying for revival to hit our land, one like we have never seen before in 250 years. This is a prayer movement where the visible hand of the Lord can be plainly seen and where people everywhere regardless of religious background will be touched by God. This is a revival where folks can stand and witness the hand of the Lord in mighty salvations, healings, signs and wonders.
The Churches of Loudoun County are uniting for a momentous occasion. We are coming together for a series of events during a 10 day period of seeking God to bring spiritual awakening to our county. These events start on April 26 with the Bible Reading Marathon, continue with the National Day of Prayer (May 1st) and culminate on the Global Day of Prayer (May 10th). During this time there will be multiple Church services around the county, specifically centered on prayer for spiritual revival and awakening for our county. The general public is invited to locate and attend a service near you and participate. Simultaneously during this period, there will be a prayer center open 24/7 for round the clock intercessory prayer in Hamilton. We are inviting all folks to come and pray for as long as they would like to.
What could be more important than praying for revival in Loudoun County? There are too many people in our land who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. These include neighbors, coworkers, acquaintances, family members, relatives, children, gangs, and the business community. Without revival, our society will go the way of the world. God is our only answer. Would you invest precious time asking God to visit us, in a way that only He can?
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Please join us at the prayer center, or in one of the church services, as we unite in asking God to bring spiritual awakening to Loudoun County. We need to establish a relationship with God now, more than ever.
