Request for Faith Article Submittals
Community of Faith is seeking Church pastors, elders and faith writers.
Community of Faith is seeking Church pastors, elders and faith writers to submit articles ranging from 500 to 1,000 words. Good essays teach lessons in life and can be used to make good blogger columns with observations about how “faith” has a strong influence on everyday living. Faith essays should not be rewritten sermons but essays developed independently to address local readership, many of which may not be familiar with a specific church denomination or a faith writer’s point of view. Faith writers should know that the column content is entirely up to them. It is encouraged that essays include appropriate scripture and focus on relating their religious perspectives to the issues relative to our local community.
I am extremely interested in how faith writers perceive the 2008 primaries and upcoming elections. Perhaps it is time for our community to pray for unity in the Spirit of God for those who belong to Him. Pray that corporations and small business continue to provide good jobs for our citizens. Pray that each of us does our best at our individual employers and that God would bless our efforts as we are striving to do His will. Pray that corporate leaders have wisdom to follow in God's ways toward peace, freedom, and true happiness. Pray for our local elected officials to heed to God's wisdom in their legislation, judgments, and activities. Finally, pray for the election primaries and the overall election process to be a means of reflecting the blessings in following God's ways, and to result in electing good men and women to lead our country and its entire people during the ominous times ahead.
It is suggested that each submitter, as a sidebar, provide a small piece of information about his or her Church and inform the reader of the good community work the Church is currently involved. Also it is suggested that one digital photograph (jpeg) of the writer, or their Church or a meaningful group activity be included. I believe these type of articles help promote the good works that local Church organizations are doing and encourage more people to become Champions in their respective communities.
I am interested in a united Christian Church working to assist the homeless and destitute people hidden within the fabric of our very affluent community. 250 years ago this county was built on a rock called the Christian Church. The Church will be here forever. There are now about 130 Churches in Loudoun County. I also believe that Loudoun County is currently undergoing a Church revival and truly hope that the Community of Faith blog will assist in spreading the Word of Life to all who wish to receive it.
Loudoun County is a community of plenty. To whom much is given, much is expected!
“And he sat down and called the twelve, and said unto them, if any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant to all.” [Mark 9:35 KJV]
