Let's aim for higher than 15%

Tomorrow is election day for Loudoun's seven towns. Last time there was a town election, in 2006, 15 percent of registered voters bothered to show up to Leesburg's polling places. Here's how the other town's fared in May 2006:

Hamilton: 33%

Hillsboro: 29%

Lovettsville: 14%

Middleburg: 31%

Purcellville: 31%

Round Hill: 18%

Looks like P-ville, M-burg and Hillsboro have higher voter turnout in comparison to the other towns. And that's not saying much, because in those towns only less than a third of the voters came out.

And get up early and VOTE!
