'Cabaret 2008: They're Playing Our Song'

Students from Herndon High School showcase their singing and dancing talents this weekend at their annual Broadway Cabaret.

They’re Playing Our Song” features students performing selections from hit Broadway musicals, including “The Fantasticks,” “Footloose,” “Hairspray,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Mary Poppins,” and, of course, “They’re Playing Our Song.”

Performances are Saturday and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Herndon High School, 700 Bennett St. Tickets are $10 at the door.

The Broadway Cabaret is directed, produced, choreographed, and accompanied by Dana and Jim Van Slyke. Dana Van Slyke is choral director at Herndon High School. Jim Van Slyke conducts the vocal jazz ensemble at Herndon.
